Arts & Crafts – Special Conditions

  1. Nominations for all Art/Craft/Photography sections will be submitted on Friday 17th June 2022 between 2 pm and 6 pm, using the official nomination form. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for receipt and competitor’s ticket.
  2. IF posted, nominations must be in the hands of the secretary by Friday 17th June 2022. Please allow several business days for Australia post delivery.
  3. Completed Art works will be submitted to TYTO Gallery on Monday 1st August or Tuesday 2nd August from 8 am – 5 pm. All artworks are to have the section number written on the front or attached to craftworks and pottery. The competitor/s name, school and grade is to be written in PENCIL on the back of all artwork. The competitor/s name, school and grade must be attached to craft and pottery items.
  4. NO LATE EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  5. Primary School age entries in painting and drawing must be no larger than A3 COMPLETE, including borders. No larger framed work can be accepted and will not be included for judging.
  6. Items must not be covered with glass.
  7. A COMPETITOR MAY SUBMIT ONLY ONE PIECE OF WORK PER SECTION.
  8. All entries must be:

    – The competitor’s original work (produced by the competitor only), with no assistance which would impact on the final outcome of the creative work which result in an unfair advantage.
    – Must not have been entered previously for any Ingham Arts Festival Competition.
  1. Please clearly mark on the lower left- hand corner of the artwork with:

  1. Name of competitor, school and grade must be pencilled lightly on the back of the artwork to be hung. No Metallic pens please.
  2. All care will be taken with exhibits, but the Committee cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage of the same.
  3. Trophies, medals and certificates will be presented at individual winners’ schools as soon as it can be arranged after dates of the competition.
  4. There will be no written adjudication slips provided for these sections.

Photography – Special Conditions.

  1. Nominations for all Photography sections will be submitted on Friday 17th June 2022 using the official nomination form. Please include a stamped, self- addressed envelope for receipt and competitor’s ticket. IF posted, nominations must be in the hands of the secretary by Friday 17th June 2022. Please allow several business days for Australia- post delivery.
  2. Completed Photographs will be submitted to TYTO Gallery on Monday 1st August or Tuesday 2nd August between 8 am and 5 pm.
  3. All photographs must be taken by the competitor. The work may have been submitted as part of a school assignment. Prints may be taken with a digital camera.
  4. Prints to be a minimum of 5” x 7” and maximum of A4 size. All prints must be mounted. This means the photos should be glued to a light cardboard to create a bordered effect (eg 8×10 photo on a 12 x 14 board).
  5. No framed or matted photos will accepted for judging. A matted photo is one which is attached to a backing board and a window matte goes over the top of the photos, giving an external bordered effect.
  6. Please clearly mark on the lower left hand of the first page of the photograph as follows:
